Light + Building will open its doors in Frankfurt am Main from March 8 to 13, 2026. In 2026, the leading international trade fair for innovations will present itself under the motto "Be Electrified - Electrifying Places. Illuminating Spaces." and thus focuses on the two central themes of lighting and building technology.
Electrifying Places refers to the ongoing development and increasing networking of urban living spaces. It underlines the growing importance of efficient electrification of buildings and a sustainable power supply.
Illuminating Spaces, on the other hand, highlights the design facets of modern lighting technology. Whether indoors or outdoors, lighting is much more than a purely functional light source. Design, materiality and shaping create a harmonious interplay with architecture and surroundings that significantly shapes the emotional experience of spaces.
