HoHo – wooden skyscraper
Vienna - Austria
With the HoHo in Vienna creates an OTHER, new type of commercial space. Commercial areas for restaurants, health, beauty, wellness, business, hotel and apartments extend over 24 floors. With a total height of 84 meters and 24 floors, the HoHo is currently one of the tallest wooden skyscrapers worldwide. It comprises a total gross area of 25,000 m², of which 19,500 m² is rental space and 3,920 m² of land. If you look at the HoHo Vienna from the outside, you think of huge wooden blocks that are put together in a triangle. Naturalness to the outside and visibility of the wooden surfaces also in the interior are part of the core idea for a tangible experience of the element wood.
The HoHo Vienna not only looks stylish and exudes natural charm, but also demonstrates creativity when it comes to space use: the modular office structure allows individual changes that can be changed at any time without much effort. This flexible floor plan also ensures that this wooden high-rise building never loses its attractiveness for tenants, as it can guarantee very long use in a friendly atmosphere. The holistic concept by architect Rüdiger Lainer stages the feel-good factor of its own accord, because this "comfort" can be experienced every day for everyone who walks by and for everyone who goes in.
