The Elbe philharmonic hall in Hamburg was officially opened on January 11 and 12, 2017. In the stream of the Elbe, surrounded by water on three sides, the new concert hall is an attraction for all Hamburg residents and guests from all over the world.
It is a total work of art of breathtaking architecture, excellent music and a unique location. The glass new building with its boldly curved roofscape rises on the base of the former Kaispeicher at the western tip of HafenCity.
The spectacular building combines three concert halls, a large music education area, restaurants, a hotel and the public plaza, which offers visitors a unique panoramic view of the entire city. Artistic quality, diversity and accessibility characterize the musical program of Hamburg's new cultural landmark.
